Bob about 4 years ago I got to agree with Yusuke, I mean I'm glad it helped you and these other people that comment, but that's just bonkers. I tried plugging my board in all the usb port but none of them helped in uploading via /dev/ttyS0. I can get a preview scan in sane fine, but for some reason it a full scan fails.

I'm sorry no one answered your post earlier, too. PR 5 months ago Cables... I was tearing my hair out trying to fix an error -62 problem that was disabling any usb device I plugged in after I had removed a usb sound card. Here some details: Code: dmesg [ 195.275079] usb 2-1: new low-speed USB device number 6 using ohci-pci [ 195.440041] usb 2-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 195.705145] usb 2-1: device Device Not Responding To Setup Address I think it was working fine for 2.6.13 or maybe 2.6.14, but 2.6.15 and later has the problem reported for it.

The only device that works is the printer. http://completeprogrammer.net/device-not/device-not-accepting-address-2-error.html sometimes it works, but sometimes it won't accept address and i get "device descriptor read/64, error -110".
