YOU ARE GOD!!! Thanks for the suggestion. Would get no sound on ABC News24 for 20 secs then the Video error. I have learnt my lessons long time ago.

system 2006-03-10 07:01:44 UTC #10 I encountered the exact same problem after a fresh install of MCE on a new drive and installing the MPEG2 decoder fixed it perfectly. No idea why it worked for a year and then stopped, but the solution was to change how the audio is handled. Is that possible to configure settings so that it could play not only DVD-movies in DVD-drive but also DVD-movies copied onto hard drive (VIDEO-TS folders)? The Microsoft ATI drivers work fine, but I am unable to change ‘scaling' settings until the real ATI drivers are installed.
