After reading this, I turned off the printer, opened the scanner cover and took out the ink cartridges, one at a time, and blotted the excess ink from them. Reinstalled cartridges. I have had HP printers for years and years and they eventually get worn out, but this is crazy! Usually ripping the print head out and cleaning all contacts followed by flushing the print head under a hot water tap to remove all old ink can solve this.Printing until the Used hot water, then isopropal alcohol to wash, and finally a small (1/4") soft rubber tube to gently blow out water/alcohol from the printhead body. Run the “Auto Head Alignment” test print.

I then reinstalled everything again, plugged it in, and pushed the power button once, success, no more error code. Removed printhead as described elsewhere and carefully flushed with hot tap water until no further ink waste was present. Removed all print cartridges. Removed the Ink cartridges , then the printhead. Now depending on the model of your Canon Pixma printer the steps you should take will vary.
