My camera was working fine with a 256Mb memory card.Problems began when I wanted to use a bigger card!Now it's working fine, like it used to :) Reply nd says: May posted August 27th, 2012 Brian It's probably the switch. Voila.. I have been in touch with Canon repair facility & they asked me to send my ixus for repair free of charge. I also have a Canon S3 with a 2GB 50X Kingston card. And this one is of the front of the camera.

I gently used a bent paperclip (large size) and held the black plunger down for 3-10seconds. In this case, you only have to place the tiny 'microSD" card into the larger regular size SD card, then place it in the camera. I finally had to use a little super glue.
