Please help, any info would be greatly appreciated. Try sliding from side to side until it is centered, and re-inserting the cartridge. Tried simple 2nd method on Canon MG5400 and presto...I got my pages that I needed NOW.

It's always the Cyan cartridge.

Try to clean that..U will know the location of this cable if you attach the cartridge, and u will notice red light appear.. Its somewhere in the printer head or the electronic contacts, idk.
